PRISM takes stake in Sircle Collection, betting on hotels
PRISM, Ritesh Agarwal's investment vehicle, has taken a significant stake in Sircle Collection. The deal comes through Sunday PropTech, the firm backed by PRISM, and according to Hospitality Net Liran Wizman's lifestyle group, with 16 properties across Europe, now has capital and infrastructure to push its hotel management platform into new international markets.
The money is not the only interesting part. It is the fact that a mid-sized group with a recognisable brand in cities like Amsterdam, Berlin or Barcelona is bringing in a partner with roots in technology and distribution. That profile fits the current reality of the sector: hotel management has become a business of data and channels, not just rooms.
My optimistic read. For independent hoteliers and small chains, moves like this open a door. They show there are buyers willing to bet on European lifestyle product and bring tech leverage into it. The question I keep asking: will Sunday PropTech respect each property's identity, or will it flatten the offer? That is the challenge. Handle it well, and Sircle comes out stronger while the market gets a more solid player.
