Grupo Hotusa is back in Manhattan. As reported by Hosteltur, the company has re-added to its portfolio a New York hotel that had previously been part of its network. The building is a Beaux-Arts style property with 16 floors and 107 rooms, and on its ground floor operates Benjamin Steakhouse, a restaurant that opened in 2006.
With this deal, Eurostars now operates seven hotels in the U.S. across key cities: New York, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago and Miami. The move fits its international expansion strategy and reinforces its commitment to the American market, where it already had a foothold but where more presence always helps.
My take: buying back an asset you already know is less risky than going in blind. And in uncertain times for the sector, Hotusa shows that expansion is not a one-off stunt but a calculated move with steady footing.
