Alhambra evacuates after new earthquakes in Granada

New earthquakes in Granada have forced the Alhambra's governing body to interrupt visits to part of the site. According to Hosteltur, the move is preventive and includes these closures:

• Nasrid Palaces and Alcazaba: evacuated.
• Museums: closed to the public.

Visits are on hold while the monument is assessed.

It makes sense. With such a fragile monument and the massive crowds it gets, safety has to come first. But the timing, right in high season, puts the Patronato's crisis management to the test. Just like a hotel handling an incident, they need to update ticket channels, alert travel agents and offer alternatives to those with existing bookings.

My read: the scare is real, but these closures show that heritage can be protected without closing the doors to the world. If you're planning to go these days, check the official channel before leaving home. Don't go in blind.
