The deal confirms investor appetite for Barcelona's hotel scene and the pull of young brands like Akeah, which is carving out a niche in the quality urban segment. With this opening, SmartRental Group adds a new destination to its portfolio, diversifying beyond its traditional stronghold.

The real story here is not just the Barcelona arrival, but the co-investment model with financial partners: Magg Capital and Onix put up the bricks, SmartRental brings the operational know-how. A formula that is increasingly popular for scaling without overleveraging the balance sheet.
