The detail that bothers me is another one. All that work is paid for by **the group's foundation, not the hotel's operating budget**. That is the difference between philanthropy and a business model. As long as conservation lives on a foundation's balance sheet, it is the first thing cut when the year gets tight. If that foundation shifts priorities or budgets tomorrow, the seagrass is left without anyone measuring it.

I see a clear opening here for the sector. Seagrass captures carbon, slows beach erosion and gives a resort a reason to charge a premium rate. That is revenue, not just CSR. The hotel that ties restoration to its product (diving experience, conservation package, higher price) has a story that survives scrutiny from both guests and owners. The one that leaves it to the foundation, does not.
