Summary: The inclusive hotel chain adds the Ilunion Abando, a 4-star with 143 rooms, strengthening its strategic presence in northern Spain.

## Article

Ilunion Hotels keeps executing its roadmap. It has just taken over the management of **Ilunion Abando**, a four-star property with **143 rooms** in central Bilbao. With this move, the chain reaches **33 hotel assets** and strengthens its footprint in northern Spain. Hosteltur broke the news.

The hotel offers more than just rooms: **bar-cafeteria, gym, parking** and **5 event meeting rooms**. Nothing groundbreaking, but enough to cover the corporate and leisure mix that the city demands. CEO José Ángel Preciados is blunt: the focus is on profitability without losing sight of social impact. And managing director Beatriz Miguel emphasizes **accessible and inclusive hospitality** as the brand's hallmark.

This fits into their **2026-2029 Strategic Plan**. Bilbao is a hot market right now for business and cultural tourism, and having your own asset there is almost mandatory if you want to play in the professional management league. Ilunion is not just adding a number, it's choosing wisely where to place its bet.
