## Article

If your hotel doesn't show up in **ChatGPT** or **Google AI** answers, don't blame the algorithm, blame your website. **RaceMyDesk** audited over **7,000 hotels** in 2023 and found that most are not ready for AI recommendations. The frustrating part: **fixing it costs zero money** and only requires common sense and basic technical tweaks, as detailed in this [Hosteltur analysis](https://www.hosteltur.com/177398_como-los-hoteles-pueden-dejar-de-ser-invisibles-para-la-ia-gratis.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=como-los-hoteles-pueden-dejar-de-ser-invisibles-para-la-ia-gratis).

The consultancy proposes **six steps** any hotel manager or community manager can apply this week:

- Allow AI crawlers access (no captchas or silly logins).
- Publish **concrete data**: hours, rates, services, exact address.
- Answer FAQs directly on the site, not just via WhatsApp.
- Clearly define **who the hotel is** and **who it's for** (generic "we're unique" won't cut it).
- Keep information consistent across **Google Business Profile**, social media and OTAs.
- Use free tools to check if AI is actually "seeing" your site.

There's no excuse. While big chains invest millions in data, most independent hotels remain **invisible to AI** out of technical laziness. AI won't replace your front desk, but if your site doesn't speak its language, you simply don't exist.
