It fits a pattern I have been watching across the American Southwest. Phoenix is no longer a stopover. It is a weekend wellness destination, and in that frame the spa stops being a box to tick on the fact sheet. It is the product. Three partners on one deal says plenty about the entry cost. Building a signature-spa hotel today needs patient capital, and not everyone has it. The more useful question for everyone else is different. If residential-style wellness is pulling this hard in inland cities, how many slots are still open in Spain, Italy or southern France? My read is plenty. Whoever can bundle spa, sleep program and local dining without inflating rate has room to run. ## Sources - Lodging Magazine: https://lodgingmagazine.com/pacific-hospitality-group-announces-opening-of-denu-hotel-spa/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pacific-hospitality-group-announces-opening-of-denu-hotel-spa ## Citation Denū Hotel & Spa opens in Phoenix with Pacific Hospitality.
