## Article

The Canarian summer kicks off with an announcement that confirms the strength of domestic connectivity. **Binter** has scheduled **70 extra weekly flights** for July, responding to rising demand between islands, according to [Hosteltur](https://www.hosteltur.com/177428_binter-refuerza-sus-vuelos-interinsulares-operara-una-media-de-70-vuelos-semanales-extra.html). The highlight is the return of the direct **Lanzarote-La Palma** route, which started with 10 weekly frequencies and will increase to **14** from the second half of July through September, as reported by **Hosteltur**.

Additionally, from **July 19** the airline will operate six direct weekly flights between **Fuerteventura and La Palma**, a summer link that strengthens connectivity for the western islands. These moves benefit both tourists seeking different beaches without stopovers and residents. Binter knows that the Canarian traveler is loyal and that these improvements help capture market share from ferry services while boosting efficiency for domestic travel, as noted by [Hosteltur](https://www.hosteltur.com/177428_binter-refuerza-sus-vuelos-interinsulares-operara-una-media-de-70-vuelos-semanales-extra.html).

The move signals that inter-island demand has not only recovered but is growing. In an archipelago where flying is akin to public transport, **these 70 additional weekly frequencies** provide a lifeline for mobility and a bet on deseasonalizing local air traffic.
