Pascual Perelló remains CEO and owner. ## Article **Juan Barjau** has been promoted to managing director of **Europlayas** after almost three years as deputy general manager, as reported by **Hosteltur**. Pascual Perelló stays on as CEO and owner, so ownership does not change. What does change is who carries the operational weight. Barjau knows the company. He worked at Europlayas between 2016 and 2022, came back as deputy general manager in January 2024 and now steps up. With more than two decades in the travel industry, including stints at Soltour and Viva Tours, the mission reads clearly: [drive Europlayas' growth and positioning](https://www.hosteltur.com/178035_europlayas-juan-barjau-asume-la-direccion-general-tras-casi-tres-anos-como-subdirector.html?utm_source=rss&, utm_medium=rss&, utm_campaign=europlayas-juan-barjau-asume-la-direccion-general-tras-casi-tres-anos-como-subdirector). My read: Europlayas is strengthening its executive structure from within, which is usually the most reliable way to keep the know-how. Watch out, the Perelló-Barjau pairing could give the tour operator a sharper management stage without touching ownership. Just what you need when the market demands fast reactions. ## Sources - Hosteltur: https://www.hosteltur.com/178035_europlayas-juan-barjau-asume-la-direccion-general-tras-casi-tres-anos-como-subdirector.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=europlayas-juan-barjau-asume-la-direccion-general-tras-casi-tres-anos-como-subdirector ## Citation Europlayas promotes Juan Barjau to managing director.
