Summary: Lighthouse introduces Ernest Crews: small AI specialist teams that implement commercial AI in hotels within 30 days. Let's see what's behind the hype.

## Article

Lighthouse, the platform thousands of hotels already use for their commercial strategy, has gone all in with **Ernest Crews**: small teams of AI and tech specialists that get your commercial team working with AI in **30 days**, as [reported by eHotelier](https://insights.ehotelier.com/suppliers/2026/09/04/lighthouse-launches-ernest-crews-to-get-hotel-commercial-teams-running-on-ai-in-as-little-as-30-days/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=lighthouse-launches-ernest-crews-to-get-hotel-commercial-teams-running-on-ai-in-as-little-as-30-days).

This is not another software subscription where you're left to fend for yourself. It's a turnkey service: these crews land on site, review your operations, configure the tools and train your people. No need to build a data team you can't afford. For independent hotels or chains without technical staff, this is a godsend.

But don't be fooled: the 30-day promise comes with a catch. Your team has to be willing to let go of their spreadsheets. The secret sauce is that the crews work shoulder to shoulder with your commercial staff: they don't impose a system, they build yours together. The risk? You might end up dependent on Lighthouse.

From where I stand, this is a smart move: they're not selling tech, they're selling outcomes. The future isn't AI, it's people who know how to use it. And if you can get your team on board in a month, the decision almost makes itself.
